Capstone Final Entry

 Capstone Final Entry

Looking back over this 2-year learning journey and where I am today really makes me appreciate those long nights and countless hours in front of the screen even more. As the experience has helped to reshape how I approach problems and ponder how this X system works? I am now able to view software beyond the surface level and see it as an ever-evolving process of development, which requires intentional planning, continuous validation, and thoughtful iteration.

Likewise, I can see my own growth in a similar way, where I have been deliberate to ensure that what I learn is persistent. Where knowledge compounds and becomes more valuable as I revisit and apply it under different contexts. Some of the more rigorous courses, such as Operating Systems, Relational Databases, and Algorithms, were especially impactful in reshaping my thought process. While the collaboration required for Software Engineering, Service Learning, and Capstone really made me appreciate the cultivation of the overall curriculum, although this was all remote, we still were able to connect and come together as a team and tackle projects that never would have been possible alone.

As I move forward, I plan to:
- Continue contributing to open-source projects to keep my skills sharp and ensure the knowledge I’ve gained remains relevant and current.
- Focus on preparing for technical interviews and applying to software engineering roles, in hopes to continue learning while contributing to impactful, real-world systems.

The journey is not done, either in software or life, as although I've reached a hefty milestone for myself, I look forward to continual improvement and learning in any shape or form I can.
